What You’ll Do: Key Responsibilities As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll oversee the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Your role will include: - Project Cost Planning and Budgeting: Develop detailed cost estimates and budgets at various project stages to ensure financial feasibility. - Cost Control and Financial Reporting: Monitor project expenses, provide accurate financial reports, and implement cost-saving strategies throughout the project lifecycle. - Tender and Contract Management: Review and evaluate tenders, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with project specifications. - Variation and Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, measure variations, and prepare progress claims, variation orders, and final accounts. - Supplier and Subcontractor Negotiations: Assess and negotiate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to secure cost-effective solutions. - Risk and Value Management: Conduct risk assessments and value engineering to optimize project outcomes. - Client and Team Collaboration: Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution. - Resource Optimization: Efficiently manage human resources and materials to maximize productivity and minimize waste. - Contractual Expertise: Provide strategic advice on contractual claims and procurement processes to safeguard project success. Who We’re Looking For: Qualifications and Skills We’re seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor with a passion for delivering exceptional results. To thrive in this role, you should have: - Educational Background: HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. - Proven Experience: 4–7 years of hands-on experience in real estate and road construction projects. - Professional Certification: Valid certification from a recognized regulatory body in Quantity Surveying. - Cost Management Expertise: Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial management in construction. - Leadership and Communication: Excellent managerial and communication skills to lead teams and liaise with stakeholders. - Negotiation Prowess: Proven ability to negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients. - Ethical and Diligent Work Ethic: A commitment to integrity, professionalism, and high-quality standards.
